Yes! Shelly is “that red-headed storyteller with the spinning wheel.” Because of her walking ghost tour of Denton, she is also known around her home town as “The Ghost Lady!”
Shelly still tells stories and demonstrates spinning in schools during the daytime but at night she shares the ghostly side of Denton, Texas. With her wheel in tow, or without, Shelly Kneupper Tucker has delighted audiences across Texas and beyond with her “yarns” for more than twenty years. Her stories enthrall audiences of all ages.
Shelly’s work has been recognized by the Texas Commission on the Arts (she has been on the Texas Touring Artist Roster since 1997). In 2008, the National Endowment for the Arts named her an “American Masterpiece.”
